My work explores transformation as a living process through layered surfaces where color, mark, and gesture move between spontaneity and control. Working with acrylics, inks, and water-soluble pigments, I build paintings through pouring, masking, drawing, and subtraction, allowing each surface to develop gradually through accumulation, interruption, and response.

Fluid passages dissolve and merge, while drawn interventions introduce moments of clarity and structure. Through this process, forms emerge slowly, suggesting landscapes that feel both intimate and otherworldly. The work is informed by organic structures and submerged environments, where foliage-like forms, shifting patterns, and coral-like rhythms appear and recede across the surface.

Natural cycles of erosion, growth, dissolution, and renewal shape both the material process and the imagery itself. Light moves across layered fields, revealing depth gradually and allowing the image to unfold over time. Texture becomes a language through which movement, memory, and transformation remain visible within the painting.

Drawing from elemental forces—earth, water, air, fire, and metal—my paintings evolve across interconnected series including Elements, Beginning, and Permission to Play. Each body of work reflects different states of becoming: grounding, emergence, openness, and intuitive exploration.

I create paintings that invite stillness—spaces where layered surfaces hold both calm and quiet intensity, encouraging the viewer to pause, look closely, and sense what unfolds beneath the visible.
